Delete your IOn Sleep account

IOn Sleep is published by The Ritz Plaza LLC, doing business as The IOn Project. You only have an account if you signed in with Google. If you used the app as a guest, there is no account to delete: uninstalling the app removes everything stored on your phone.

Option 1: in the app

1. Open IOn Sleep and make sure you are signed in.
2. Go to Settings and choose Delete Account.
3. Type DELETE to confirm.

If you see an error, sign out, sign back in, and try again, or use option 2.

Option 2: by email (no app needed)

Email privacy@theionproject.com with the subject "Delete my IOn Sleep account", from the Google account you signed in with, or naming that account's email address. We may ask you to confirm the request from that address. We will complete the deletion within 30 days and reply to confirm.

What is deleted

• Your account record: name, email address, profile photo link, account ID, free trial dates, subscription status fields and saved default settings.
• Your sign-in account in Firebase Authentication. Google removes it from backup systems within 180 days.

What is not deleted by this

• Your Google Play subscription. Deleting your account does not cancel billing. Cancel in the Google Play Store under Payments and subscriptions.
• Data on your phone (sleep history, alarms, presets). Uninstall the app or clear its storage to remove it.
• Crash reports and usage analytics, which are linked to installation IDs rather than your account. Firebase deletes crash reports after about 90 days and analytics within our 14-month maximum. Email us if you want help removing them sooner.
• Advertising data held by Google. Reset or delete your advertising ID in Android settings.
